The Hit List - Do I follow my Sun, Moon, or Rising for Horoscopes?

I love doing horoscopes. Whether I’m writing about the monthly zodiac happenings or pulling cards for every sign, it’s my happy place (I especially love the latter). But often, people ask: should I take the information for my Sun, Moon, or Ascendant (Rising Sign)?

Good question!

A lot of folks will go with the Sun. That works just fine, especially if you do not know your Rising Sign. However, many believe the Ascendant is more accurate. I tend to agree.

If you want a complete picture, I think you might want to read the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. In fact, I recommend that for tarotscopes. This way, you’re covering all the important bases. After all, many astrologers say that you can get 80% of the chart information just by reading those three points. So why not consider that when poring over horoscopes?

One other thing to keep in mind: I have a very late Libra Ascendant. I find Scorpio is more accurate than Libra for me. While I still take Libra into consideration, it’s less important. I also have a Scorpio Moon, so Scorpy scopes tend to resonate stronger. And yes, my Gemini Sun is never overlooked!

So what are your thoughts? Sun only? All three? Ascendant? What do you pay attention to the most?
