The Hit List - Your personal tarot card for 2025

Next year, I’ll be in a Star year. That means hope, healing, and recognition are my themes for 2025. My tarot card of 2025 helps me define goals, focus on priorities, and even choose the word of the year. So how do you find your yearly tarot card? Simple. Add your birth month, day and the current year. Then, find the Major Arcana associated with that number.

I’m born June 11th, so that becomes: 6 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 17.

17 correlates to The Star in tarot.

You can reduce the number if it is greater than 22 (we use The Fool for 22). For example, if your yearly number is 23, you would further reduce you as 2 +3 = 5. Five would be associated with The Hierophant.

Here are some possible themes for each card:

1 – Magician: talent, will power, manifestation

2 – High Priestess: intuition, inner wisdom, self reliance

3 – The Empress: nurture, abundance, creativity

4 – The Emperor: success, structure, control

5 – The Hierophant: tradition, teaching, loyalty

6 – The Lovers: relationships, choices, higher guidance

7 – The Chariot: destiny, self control, victory

8 – Strength: endurance, grace, courage

9 – The Hermit: solitude, guidance, maturity

10 – The Wheel of Fortune: luck, fate, change

11 – Justice: fairness, diplomacy, decisions

12 – The Hanged Man: sacrifice, faith, patience

13 – Death: transformation, change, release

14 – Temperance: balance, moderation, alchemy

15 – The Devil: mischief, shadow, temptation

16 – The Tower: breakthrough, disruption, housecleaning

17 – The Star: hope, healing, recognition

18 – The Moon: instincts, uncertainty, flow

19 – The Sun: success, joy, enlightenment

20 – Judgement: rebirth, awakening, rite of passage

21 – The World: graduation, completion, success

22 – The Fool: beginning, risk, innocence

Use those words as prompts for your year. Feel free to choose one of the words as your word for the year. Or go through the thesaurus and find words you like better.
