Is it spring yet?
I found myself asking that out loud after two – count them – two snow storms pummeled my hood. Now, don’t get me wrong: I love cold weather. But this? Ridiculous.
Yoga classes had to be canceled, I was hunkered down indoors, and worse yet, had to have my son help me shovel the car out of a solid block of plowed-in snow ’n ice. If you think that was a fun way to get my exercise points in, I guarantee: it wasn’t.
But now the temps are crawling up and there is sun.
I’m relentlessly checking the weather reports to see if this will continue and if my travel plans for next week will be good to go. So far…so good. I have a feeling that I’m not the only Midwesterner doing the same thing.
Because we’ve had it.
We’re weary of this endless winter. And frankly, I have paid a small fortune to the snow shoveler guys and I don’t want to pay any more.
With fingers crossed and an eye fixed on the weather app on my phone, let’s hope this is a done snow deal – and spring is just around the corner.
This poor crocus is doing its best to hang in there. Hold on buddy, spring is almost here!
