The Hit List - Good vibes and antibiotics

TThis past week, our elderly cat took a turn for the worse. He’s taken many turns, but like most felines, he does seem to have nine lives. Monkey (that’s his name) rebounded by Thursday night. He lives on for another day.

It’s hard to watch your furry friends suffer. It’s even harder to ask for help. But when I looked at the sad shape Monkey was in, I knew I had to call on others – and the vet – to get him back on track. So I put out two posts on social media requesting good vibes and Reiki.

I know I know…social media is this, that, and the other thing. But sometimes, it is remarkable in the ability to connect with other people. Within minutes, good folks were sending healing energy and lots of Reiki to Monkey. The vet determined he had an infection and gave him a big dose of antibiotics.

Soon, Monkey started to calm down. In a few hours, he started to perk up. The next day we saw continued progress – and today, he’s like his old self. He’s still an old man with diabetes, but at least he’s moving around like a little panther. While the antibiotics played an important role in his recovery, I know the positive vibes made a huge difference.

Sometimes, we need to have folks throwing that good energy our way.

Sometimes, we need to ask for help.

Sometimes, we need to turn to social media.

And time and time again, people come through. A big thank you to everyone for helping our little guy!
