The Hit List - Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Declutter Madness

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo occurred in the wee hours of Friday morning. Eclipses are funky, so I wasn’t surprised when my sleep got disrupted. This happens frequently during eclipse season. However, I was exhausted due to my decluttering project, which had been an all-day affair. I assumed a throw-away marathon would have been the perfect sleeping elixir, but nah.

Virgo Moons are lovely for decluttering. A full moon eclipse? Even better. Because I live my life by the moon, I began preparations for this event at the beginning of the week. Many parts of my life are streamlined and organized. For example, my clothes and shoes – no problem. I’m not a fashion whore so I rarely buy that sort of thing. But books…books are my problem. Tarot decks, too. This would be my focus. It was long overdue.

I made my plan. Full-on Marie Kondo. That meant stacks of books and tarot decks in the middle of my office floor.

Then, the question: does this spark joy?

But since this is a Virgo Moon and I’m a practical type, the real question is: do I need this?

The third question: are there bad vibes attached to this?

Once the three-question process was locked in, it became easy to pare down book mountain. Books that I know I’ll never use – out! Books that feel like a passive-aggressive side eye from frenemies – out! Books that made me feel some type of way for whatever reason (or no reason at all) – out!

I boxed a bunch and filled a few free little libraries. Two shelves are done.

Three more to go. I’m coming for the tarot decks tomorrow. My mission is to have this completed by the end of the week. Will I get it done? I dunno. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse has seemed to jack me up just right, so I think it will be a done deal. But who knows? One day at a time…one book at a time.
