The Hit List - The connection

As a former yoga teacher, I have always been fascinated by breathwork. Breathing was the primary reason I began my yoga practice in the first place. I had been plagued by various breathing-related issues since childhood – and that messed up my life in many ways. Yoga was one of the remedies that resolved the problem.

Breath connects us to our bodies, the present moment, the beginning and end of life.

It also forms a connection to all things on earth. Through our breath, we are connected to each other. No matter our differences. No matter how far apart we live. We breathe in and out the same air.

We share the same air as our ancestors. Famous folks are breathing the same air as me, you, right at this moment. Historical figures who have long since passed also breathed this air. Animals, trees, bugs, and god only knows what – we’re all doing the same thing…the fundamental act of breathing.

With this understanding, why do we struggle to come together? Why are we more divided than ever? How do we honor this simple, yet profound connection?

This is something I cannot get out of my mind.

As tarot readers, we have a responsibility to handle these delicate topics professionally and compassionately.
