The Hit List - Be careful what I wish for

A few weeks ago, I was bitching on my blog about the lack of a real winter. Things had been rather mild around here and I felt sorta ripped off.

Well…as the Nine of Cups reversed warns: be careful what you wish for. I got what I wanted and then some.

Since that time, we’ve had a polar vortex, numerous snow storms, gusting winds, treacherous roads – it’s been more wintery than a kingdom taken over by the White Walkers. Some of my friends have blamed my blog post on manifesting this shit snowstorm!

Look, I’m just as sick of this white hot mess as everyone else in the northern hemisphere. But I’m no Anthony Fremont – I highly doubt that I have enough power to summon the weather gods to do my bidding. If I did, it would be 65 degrees and partly cloudy 24/7. I’m not sure everyone would be smiling and going along with that.

Plus we all know that nothing is forever, right? Sooner or later, Mother Nature is gonna put on her combat boots and kick winter’s ass to the curb – and sunny days will be here again.

And then it’s only a matter of time before we’re whining about the heat. You can bet your suntan lotion that I’ll be wishing for a cold snap then – and you might just thank me.
