Talkin’ Tarot With is a monthly feature designed to introduce my readers to different tarot readers from our wonderfully diverse community! Each month, I’ll be asking various tarot readers three questions about their tarot philosophy and style, plus pointing you to their websites and blogs so that you can learn more about them! I like to hand pick tarot readers that I feel are talented and interesting.
I was scrolling through Instagram one day when I saw something odd over at Twin Moon Tarot. A little hand was flipping through the tarot cards. It wasn’t a human appendage…instead, it looked like it belonged to a doll. I had to watch it a few times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things! That got my attention – and kept it. I now look for that “little hand” every day.
The person behind that mini plastic metacarpus is Jahna, a smart tarot reader with a great sense of humor. I love her approach to the cards. Jahna’s card for the day interpretations is always thoughtful. Like most Geminis, she has a way with words (and hands!), that helps people connect to the divine in a down-to-earth way. Plus, she’s funny as hell. One of my recent faves was “the manicure” with “Level Up” by Ciara in the background. My husband and I walked around the house singing “little hand” to that tune! Silly? Maybe. But that’s what makes Jahna stands out as a tarot personality. She’s the right combo of wise and irreverent.
Jahna is currently working on other projects behind the scenes, including potions and other such things for tarot readers and mystical folks. I cannot wait to see what that is all about! In the meantime, I’ll sit on my paws and wait for that – and keep my eyes peeled for her daily tarot draws. You should too. Twin Moon Tarot is little hands down, my fave new tarot discovery!
Bio:
In Jahna’s own words: I am a Tarot enthusiast turned professional reader. Originally from New England, I have lived up and down the East Coast and now reside in rural New Jersey with my family and our bulldog Reginald. I have a background in writing and editing as we’ve been hard at work recently, concocting some potions and products especially for my fellow Tarot readers but with other mystical practitioners in mind as well. I am so excited about that! There’s no surprise as to why the community speaks to me when you consider my astrological blueprint: I have a Gemini stellium in the 11th house, which means I love to learn and synthesize that knowledge for everyone! I am all about sharing in the Tarot collective energy and hyping up others along the way. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of such a supportive community of Tarot readers, enthusiasts, beginners, and hopefuls! I truly believe this is my life’s work and I am so fortunate to be able to do this every day.
I can be reached for correspondence or bookings via my website twinmoontarot.com and you can find me on Instagram @twinmoontarot where I offer my Tiny Hands Tarot readings for the collective.

Q: What is your philosophy about tarot reading?
Jahna: My philosophy is to make like The Fool and take the leap! My own “Fool Card moment” was about two years ago when I started seriously studying Tarot. I found myself with some free time and thought, “Hmmm, I have always wanted to learn Tarot, I think I’ll get a book about it…” and that was the “leap” that became a headlong freefall into the Tarot world–which has now become my job! I never ever would have guessed it would turn out like this but, well, here we are. Not only did it seem to happen quickly and organically, but–and I am no fatalist– it felt right, like me and Tarot was always just meant to be. From the rip, I had a sense that the Universe has my back.
Although my initial approach to the Tarot was, “Heck, this is a fun curiosity, let’s learn more,” it soon became clear that the deck in my hand was much more meaningful than knowing a brief history of the cards and memorizing their meanings. And the more I dabbled, the deeper my awareness grew of Tarot’s true power as a healing modality. I began seeing that the messages I’d receive during my own personal readings connected seemingly disparate realms in my life and helpful solutions were appearing. Well, I was hooked! Perhaps my favorite part of the Tarot is that its mysteries beckon further exploration. It seems as this goes on, no matter how much I learn or practice, there’s always something more, something hidden beneath the surface– a hot take, a different perspective, a new mystery to uncover — and I absolutely love that about Tarot. So if you are curious–not just about Tarot but about any appealing “what if?” avenue in your life–take that leap and see where it goes. You just never know what might unfold.
Q: How do you feel a client might get the most out of a reading with you?
Jahna: Because my reading style is a tad salty, a bit sweet…and occasionally spicy when my “tiny hand” is pulling the cards (if you know, you know)…a sense of humor is basically a requirement to read with me. When you sit down at my Tarot Table (be it virtual or otherwise), my somewhat snarky humor will come through, along with more serious answers being sought. I am honest about what the cards have to say, but I also round it out with compassion because we’re human, after all.
I encourage clients to enter readings with an open heart and mind, and I always ask beforehand if they’re comfortable receiving whatever might push through. My readings are done without bias or judgment so I am perfectly comfortable reading for sticky situations that not every reader will take on. (Still a hard no on gambling and medical questions but otherwise, it’s mostly fair game, as long as the reading is for YOU.) In the end, the cards will do as they may and readings always take on a life of their own. For instance, a client who inquires about their love life may have some truths revealed regarding their career or family — it’s all connected somehow, some way. In the end, my absolute favorite feedback to receive is that a client has gotten their own deck and is starting the healing journey through Tarot for themselves. The cycle repeats, so, please, yes, come back and let’s talk Tarot.
Q: What is your best piece of advice for an aspiring tarot reader?
Jahna: I think this goes right along with my advice for clients, but it is part of my holistic philosophy: Don’t take yourself too seriously! Tarot has some heavy messages — that’s part of the deal — but overall, I believe you have to have a sense of humor and openness when approaching the cards. Tarot loves to poke fun at itself and at us mortals, too… You might think you are reading the cards, but the cards are actually reading you right back… and they will pour the tea! If you are looking for some more tangible advice, I implore everyone who is getting serious about it to keep a Tarot journal. Record dates, weather, astrological happenings, a quick dash about any poignant life or world events along with your reflections on your Tarot pulls–it will paint a holistic picture for you. Eventually, you will see, on the pages right in front of you, your Tarot journey emerge, take shape, and evolve. And oh what fun those pages are to revisit later.
