Talkin’ Tarot With is a monthly feature designed to introduce my readers to different tarot readers from our wonderfully diverse community! Each month, I’ll be asking various tarot readers three questions about their tarot philosophy and style, plus pointing you to their websites and blogs so that you can learn more about them! I like to hand pick tarot readers that I feel are talented and interesting.
My dear friend, George Koury, has been a fixture on the mediumship scene for some time. He’s now making waves in the tarot community and will be a mainstage presenter at the annual Readers Studio conference. I’m excited to learn from him – and judging by the sold-out status, I’m not the only one!
George is known for his compassion, intuitive skills, and sense of humor. A former clown, he knows how to lighten things up. In fact, you can’t put it past him to pull out a toy monkey even when teaching serious subjects!
I’ve had tarot readings with him before and have always walked away feeling informed – and inspired. He has a gift for helping people to heal from loss so they can move forward towards abundant, happy, healthy lives.
If you’re looking to connect with the dearly departed or need some tarot wisdom with a side of comedy, get to know George. You’ll quickly see why he’s a tarot treasure.

Check out George’s answers to my questions below:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q: What is your philosophy about tarot reading?
George: I believe that when we are reading the Tarot for someone, the answers are coming from the soul of the sitter.
Q: How do you feel a client might get the most out of a reading with you?
George: I ask all this seeking a session with me to come with an open mind and heart. I also ask them to let go expectations as to how and what a reading should look like.
Q: What is your best piece of advice for an aspiring Tarot reader?
George: Once you have the basics down and can do a competent reading, practice, practice and more practice.
If you want to be a truly great reading, start out by offering 200 readings for free. Keep a journal of all your sessions. Without self-blame, assess what you did well and what can use improvement. Love your sitters and always have your intention focused clearly on helping and uplifting them.
