This weekend, I’ve been attending the World Domination Summit in Portland. It’s my third year here…and not my last. Why on earth do I attend an event that is outside my industry? Simple: inspiration.
This event has been a chief source of creative and motivational sparking – and as usual, I’m walking away pumped with loads of good energy – and killer ideas. Getting regular doses of this sort of awesome keeps my engine running on fresh fuel.
If you’re an entrepreneur, you need to engage in activities that galvanize you, feed your brain and kicks your imagination into high gear.
Activities such as:
Conferences, both industry and non.
A week off disengaged from social media.
Popcorn and the movies.
Vacations to interesting environments.
Physical activities such as jogging, yoga, or a walk under the moonlight.
Loads of music (hip hop is my fave).
Hanging with successful, positive people.
Getting involved in charitable events.
Classes – both online and off.
Watching Michael Phelps going out in a blaze of glory.
And more.
Fact is, you can find inspiration anywhere.
Even right here, reading this blog. You just need to stay curious – and pay attention to what grabs you.
So whatcha waiting for?
Don’t just sit there, do something. See something. Meet someone. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be the inspiration.
Blessings,
Theresa
