A few days ago, I posted one of my daily tarot draws on one of my social media platforms.

It was a heavy-duty card. Some reader took umbrage to that card, and decided to leave a comment stating that all I posted was “doom and gloom.” They also made mention that in five days, there were “only two good cards” and there was not enough details like “other tarot sites.”

A few days before this incident, I posted a card that showed the potential for a romantic day. One person felt the need to comment “I’ll believe that when I see it.” Obviously that card was “too positive” for them.

Sigh.

Moral of the story: you can’t please everybody.

And you shouldn’t try.

If you attempt to change your work to make everyone happy, you will drive yourself nuts. Worse yet, you run the risk of watering your work down to the point where it won’t even sound like you. That won’t do.

Do your thing and do it well. Pour your heart and soul into it. Let your work reach those who need it and love it.

Rather than trying to please the ones who don’t get you or what your work is about, let them go and find someone who might serve their needs in the way that they feel is right for them.

Take that advice and your business will please the most important person:  you.

Blessings,

Theresa
