Saturn In Pisces: What you need to know

Saturn will be in sensitive Pisces on March 7th. Unfortunately, this isn’t such a great position for the hard taskmaster. In fact, after six years in Saturn-ruled signs Capricorn and Aquarius, this transit feels like a big ole wet blanket.

Stern Saturn wants to build all the things, while Pisces simply wants to dream and create. In a way, this energy is like a parent and child fighting over bad grades due to the child daydreaming in the classroom.

During this transit, it can be hard to get things done. Instead, everyone will search for an escape chute (or cocktail). Who wants to knuckle down when your imagination (or that cocktail) could take you to new places? It’s tempting to check out and let the other adults do the work, but Saturn won’t have that. Instead, Saturn will find a way to pull you right back down to earth as it hands you all sorts of other “non-fun” responsibilities. As RuPaul sang in Supermodel: “You better work.” If you’re willing to do your part, great achievements are possible.

Here’s why: idealistic Pisces sees what is possible. This is the dreamer and artist of the zodiac. Coupling that with Saturn’s workaholic ways makes it possible to build the dream. What do you want to create? Do you have an idea tugging at your heart, wanting to come to life? You can turn that fantastical thought into something real if you are willing to do the work. It may seem hard or impossible, but Saturn says: “We can do this!” (Memo to artists, musicians, actors, designers, writers, poets, and creators of beautiful things: you’re in your element now. You have the discipline to bring your best work to life.)

Boundaries can become a massive problem during this transit, especially when you consider Neptune is also in Pisces during this period. If you’re not firm, you risk becoming a doormat. However, Saturn will point out where you need to get tough. Consider this your “season of nope,” and use that word as often as needed. Don’t hesitate to give violators the boot if they refuse to honor the lines you’ve drawn. With regular practice, you’ll get the respect you deserve – and peace of mind.

Saturn in Pisces may also test your empathy. If you struggle to be compassionate, you may be given situations where you learn to walk in another person’s shoes again and again until you get the memo (that memo is: be kind). Hard, cold attitudes will not work during this transit. Even though Saturn is harsh, Pisces will find a way to dissolve that vibe.

Escapism is another issue that may rear up during this transit. As I said, you may be looking for a way out, especially if the work is demanding. While there is nothing wrong with a bit of indulgence now and then, full-blown addiction isn’t going to get rid of the problems. It will only create more challenges. But here’s the good news: if you struggle with addictive tendencies, there is no better time to get help than now. Seek the right support, and you can break those habits. It’s never too late!

One thing that can be helpful when Saturn is in Pisces: level up your spiritual disciplines. Meditate, pray, spend time in retreats, light candles, do compassionate acts, and walk in nature. Basically, whatever helps you connect with something greater than yourself. This will help you move through this tender transit with grace.

Mutable signs will feel this transit the most. So if you’re a Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, buckle up.

Water signs will be in their elemental best, especially Cancer and Scorpio. Whatever you envision can become your real life. For Pisces, this can be the glow up – provided you’re ready to grow up.
