I will always thank (or blame) Esmé Wang for my washi tape addiction. She had written about using it in her planner for marking out her year – and I began doing the same thing.
Washi tape is fabulous because it’s durable, you can write on it, lifts up easy if you made a mistake in placement, plus it comes in all sorts of cute patterns and colors! For crafty peeps, this is dynamite!
I use washi tape for all sorts of decorative things so why not use it to glam up The Tarot Coloring Book?
Life coach Paige Bentley did just that with her version of The World (psst if you need an effective and creative life coach, Paige is your woman). This was a winning entry in my Tarot Coloring Book Instagram Contest – she had me at leopard print:
Washi tape is easy to use. And it looks great as a border around the tarot card images.
Here’s what to do:
Measure out how much you’ll need. You can use a ruler but I prefer to eyeball it.
Cut the tape and then gently press it down. If you are a bit sloppy, no worries! Lift that right up and then move it to the area you want. Repeat until you get the desired effect. You can keep it clean ‘n simple or get buckwild and go full on Liberace! The choice is yours.
Looking good!
You can find washi tape at any craft store such as Michael’s. I’ve also found some killer colors at Office Depot and on Amazon.
I hope this post inspires you to get all crafty ‘n stuff with your Tarot Coloring Book. Don’t let it sit on your shelf – bling it out!
Til next time: stay curious and keep shuffling, my friends.
Blessings,
Theresa
