When I was first learning French, I purchased a book that came with a bunch of little stickers with various words and pronunciations.  You were supposed to stick them on the appropriate objects so that you could drill those words into your skull.  I found this method to be very effective.  Seeing the words every day helped me to get proficient faster (you can see one of the remaining stickers in the picture below).

If you have trouble remembering the meanings of tarot cards, this same method may be a way to help you  get familiar with the energy of the cards and retain the info better.

Here’s what you need to do:

Get yourself a bunch of Sticky Notes and a marker.  Write down every card name on a separate sticker.  Then, go around your house and stick them up on objects or pictures that have the qualities of that card.  Get creative!

For example, you might choose:

  • 4 of Pentacles on a piggy bank (financial security)
  • 6 of Cups on a childhood memento (nostalgia)
  • 3 of Swords on your first aid kit (pain)

If you don’t want to litter your house with these tarot reminders, grab a photo album – they are great resources for this exercise.  Here are some examples:

  • 8 of Wands for a picture of your trip to Europe (travel)
  • 10 of Cups for a photo of a favorite family reunion (happiness and family)
  • The Devil for a pic of your ex (I kid!  Well….maybe not!)

Having these reminders in your face often will help you to get your interpretations down pat.  Trés simple et amusant!

Blessings!
