Happy New Year!

I hope you’re celebrating with your loved ones and your furry pets today—or maybe enjoying some peace ’n quiet by yourself.

One of my favorite New Years Day rituals is to decorate my new planner. I’m doing that today—and then I’m whipping up a bomb-ass brunch involving eggs, cheese, crispy potatoes, and steak, because steak makes everything better. It’s a fact.

Here’s a Tarot card that I pulled this morning to kick off the New Year: The Chariot. The Chariot symbolizes willpower. This is the year to take the reins in your hands and remain focused on your destination until you cross the finish line. Do not get distracted by the noise. Commit to your success and move forth with confidence. Be as ambitious as you wanna – no apologies necessary.

I’m back—second year in a row—to teach a fun, interactive class on how to read Tarot intuitively. This is always a HUGE highlight of my year because I LOVE Portland… especially the food scene in that town! OMFG.

In March I’m co-teaching a fab workshop with my favorite photographer, Danielle Cohen: Through a Tarot Lens. If you’re in Los Angeles, you’ll want to get your seat! Tickets are available now.

My buddy Chris Zydel and I will be bringing back Brushes and Cards, our Tarot + Intuitive Painting workshop in July. Doors will be opening soon!

In October, I’m collaborating with my friend Sarah Selecky—an incredible author—to teach a class in Toronto, Canada. This class is all about writing fiction using Tarot! Sarah will share some beautiful writing techniques, and I’ll talk about how you can use Tarot for defining the plot, for character development, and more.This class is open to all kinds of writers—including shy, curious beginners and people who haven’t written much in a long time. It’s going to be inspiring and very encouraging. Details will be posted soon. Join us and stretch your creative muscles in a new way!

I hope you’ve got some exciting plans for this year, too. Maybe a new project, a vacation, a road trip, or a big milestone in your life that you’re excited to celebrate.

If nothing else, we can all look forward to Season 8 of Game of Thrones, which is *allegedly* dropping in late 2018 (I’ve also heard early 2019), although the exact release date hasn’t been set yet. I hope they don’t make us wait any longer than that! I need my Jaime Fix! #Desperation
