biz-shizzle

I hear this a lot:

“I’ve worked so hard and I’m still not making it. What am I doing wrong?”

Chances are, you are doing everything right (unless you are resorting to sleazy gimmicks but let’s assume you are not and save that for another post down the road).

You’re constantly in hustle mode, you have a website up, you are “doing” social media but still…….you’re barely making ends meet.   And all your free time?  It’s sucked up with boring crap like bookkeeping and answering emails.  Not very glam, eh pardner?

What about that fabulous life you thought you’d get once you ditched the cubicle? Where’s all that elusive freedom and big bucks you hear others crowing about?

Why isn’t it happening for you?

Here’s what many entrepreneurs won’t tell you: in most cases, it takes TIME before you see a return on your efforts.

Overnight success is rare.  Like scarcer than a dodo bird.

For many of us, it takes YEARS of sacrifice, painful lessons, and hard work.

And four hour work weeks?  Fuggetaboutthat.  That’s for a slim few.  When you are an entrepreneur, you are often “on” seven days a week.

Am I the angel of death for self employment fantasies?  Maybe.  But the truth is,  I’m just a realist who has been at her entrepreneur gig for most of her adult working life.

In other words, I’m speaking from real life experience, not some illusionary bullshit.

Listen up:

If you are in it to win it, you stay put day after day. Even when the going is slllooowwweerrrr than a walker race at the local senior day care, you’re there.

Stop giving your attention to the false promises of the “easy and idle” entrepreneur life. In fact, I recommend that you pay no mind to people who are bragging about their so called big buck outsourced not-having-to-actually-work “lifestyle”.  Most of it is smoke and mirrors.

Instead, get busy.

Care about the quality of your work and your clients.

Stay on your grind.

COMMIT.

And give it time.  Loads of luscious, precious time.

Blessings!
