Tarot Advice - Guidance in Every Card: Two of Cups

This week: Two of Cups

The Two of Cups focuses on relationships, so much of the advice would be for the tending and caring of relationships.

Come together! This card calls for unity. Try to meet the other person where they are at.  Work towards cooperation and compromise. Practice give and take.

If you’re asking about a potential romance, the Two of Cups says: go for it! There is a spark present, an attraction that is well worth pursuing.

Make an effort to connect. Reach out!

Share what you have with others.

This card can also advise you to make an offer (not just for romance but other situations such as buying a house).

Two of Cups reversed:

When this card comes up reversed, it favors stepping back from a relationship. Perhaps it is time to enforce new boundaries.  Is the relationship unhealthy?  Are you spending more time bickering than cooperating?  Is there no common ground? If you are finding that the relationship is not moving in the right direction, it may be best to take a break.

In some cases, this card can be a warning that a relationship is heading south. If you have been blind to that, this may be the red flag you need to see to begin working on it before it falls apart.

Withdraw the offer. Pull back from negotiations.

This card can also point towards a need to examine where you’re not compromising or being fair with others. Are you only focused on your needs? If so, it may be time to consider what the other person wants if you wish to preserve the relationship.

Questions to ponder:

How do you show up in relationships?  Do you give as much as you get – and vice versa? Are you able to compromise well with others? What might you need to do to bring  a climate of love and peace into your relationships?

Blessings,

Theresa
